The evolution of services and programs for the aging and disability community is here! Mark your calendar for the Northeast Ohio Aging and Disability Summit, coming September 27th! This year’s Summit -- open to aging network professionals, caregivers and older adults across northeast Ohio – will be held in-person at the Cleveland Marriott East. The Summit is presented in partnership by the Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services (DSAS), The MetroHealth System and Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging.
This year’s theme – Celebrating 30 Years: Looking Back and Moving Forward – Honoring our history of sharing innovations and best practices on issues impacting older adults and adults with disabilities. Here, we will enhance dialogue on how to ensure quality of care both now and in the future with topics such as The Evolving Care of Older Adults, The State of Cleveland’s Public Health, and Food & Wellness… The conference will offer a full-day of educational sessions headlined by keynote speakers James Campbell, MD, Department Chair of Geriatric Medicine, The MetroHealth System, David Margolius, MD, Director of Public Health, City of Cleveland, and Michael F. Roizen, MD, Chief Wellness Officer, Cleveland Clinic. Other sessions include but not limited to: The Effects of Aging with Developmental Disability: Advances in Resources and Technology for Independence, Aging in the Context of Cardiovascular Disease and more.
Expected attendance for this conference is approximately 400-500 nurses, social workers, case managers, counselors, administrators and service providers.
